About the practitioners Both Hayley and Jodie have been in practice for 5 yrs and have gained much experience working in busy practices in Folkestone, Canterbury and Dover. They met in 2005 while working together at the same clinic and in 2007 decided to start their own company - Foreman & Jones. Their vision is to provide high quality alternative health care in their local area using their skills, experience and passion to help patients achieve a true state of continuing health and wellbeing . They qualified with Bachelor of Science Honours degrees in Herbal Medicine in 2002 which they acquired through 4 years of training. Hayley has also completed extensive training in Hypnotherapy and NLP and Jodie in Reflexology. Jodie ForemanJodie has always had an affinity for nature and following an illness in her teens she consulted a number of complementary practitioners for help. She had been told that she would have to take conventional drugs for life but they gave her unwanted side effects which affected her greatly. She did, however, finish her A levels with the help of alternative medicine and was able to live her life without the use of drugs. Following her experience she knew that there was ‘something special’ about the healing qualities of plants and other treatments and that being a Herbalist was the only career she wanted to pursue. She trained in Reflexology and qualified in 1999 with a one-year CIBTAC diploma. She then went on to train as a Medical Herbalist at the University of Westminster, London, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Herbal Medicine in 2002. She then moved back to Kent where she joined Ralph & Evans Medical Herbalists and worked as an associate Medical Herbalist at both their Canterbury and Folkestone branches before starting her own business ‘Foreman & Jones’ in 2007 based in her home town of Sandgate, Kent. Jodie uses the knowledge she has gained over her years in training and practice to provide the most beneficial treatment for the patient, whether this is Herbal Medicine, Reflexology or a combination of both. Jodie feels very lucky to have found a career about which she feels so passionate. She says "it is the best feeling to know that you have impacted on another person’s life positively." Hayley JonesHayley Jones has always been interested in people. After losing a very close family member in her teens, she became more and more interested in the body’s ability to heal itself. After gaining excellent grades at A level Hayley looked to the next step for herself. Having a deep interest in Medicine but choosing not to follow the ‘orthodox’ path, Hayley embarked on her 4 year degree in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University and has never looked back. Since the beginning of that course to today Hayley has felt there is nothing else she would rather do than to help people to feel better in themselves. After three years in practice, Hayley found that although her patients were feeling much better with their physical ailments, they would still come to see her for help with their personal problems. For example, relationship problems, help with careers, or dealing with the ways in which they managed stress. And Hayley felt that she did not yet have the tools necessary to help her patients in this way. So she embarked on new training to meet these needs. Hayley had always been interested in the amazing things that people can do with their lives, and the impact we can have on our lives by the choices we make. So this led her down the path of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Through completing this training Hayley made huge changes in her own life that put her in a position to be able to coach other people in theirs. On discovering the close link between NLP and Hypnosis and the powerful changes you can make using these tools, she also trained in Hypnotherapy and then completed the further Master NLP training and Time Line Therapy (TLT). She now offers Herbal Medicine, Hypnotherapy and NLP either as separate or combined therapies depending on the needs of the patient. Professional MembershipsJodie and Hayley are members of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), founded in 1864, and adhere to a strict code of ethics, are fully insured and undergo a programme of continuing professional development yearly. NIMH-registered Medical Herbalists are trained in the same diagnostic skills as mainstream doctors but they take a more holistic approach to treating illness. As well as being a member of the NIMH Hayley is a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) which is the administrating agency for the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC). The GHSC works with the Department of Health to regulate Hypnotherapists. Fully insured and safe guarded by the strict codes of ethics of these regulatory bodies, Jodie and Hayley are a safe, comprehensive and a very effective choice for your treatment. |
